As an internet security company, Verbeter Group is frequently tested by unscrupulous hackers and crackers on a daily basis. We’d like to thank them for keeping us on our toes, and we are upgrading our web presence to ensure complete security when using our website.

Part of the process has already taken place, and as you can see, our website that was partially defaced is now back on track. We took our time, but we know our clients and future customers can trust Verbeter for being a committed member of the corporate community to better themselves always.

avast works with Vista SP1 unlike other popular brands

Microsoft Corp. today released a list of known programs that experience some sort of “loss of functionality” with Windows Vista SP1.The list of 11 products — divided into categories of “blocked from starting,” “do not run” and “loss of functionality (minor or major)” — is based on reported issues and is “not comprehensive,” the company said. Many of the affected programs offer newer versions or upgrades that will make the software compatible (linked below where applicable).

The new Windows Vista operating system brings increased productivity and dependability as well as many security enhancements. Nonetheless, the risk of malware infection on this platform is still relatively high. Effective protection is a must.

We are glad to announce that the latest versions of all avast! antivirus editions, including the free Home Edition, now support the new Windows Vista platform (both 32-bit and 64-bit builds).

July 3, 2006 – In the latest Virus Bulletin tests (June 2006, Windows XP) avast! 4 Pro again detected all ItW viruses (i.e. viruses known to be ‘in the wild’) and was given another VB100% award!
